Sizzling Summer Camp - a summer camp for advanced riders

summer camp for advanced ridersWhite Rose Equestrian is excited to offer a summer camp for advanced riders.

Most summer camps are designed to introduce young children to horses and horseback riding. They also provide somewhere for kids to go during the summer while their parents work. We offer such a camp, and more information can be found here>>>

Sizzling Summer Camp is different

A three-day and two-night camp aimed at intermediate to advanced riders with their own horse, Sizzling Summer camp is a fun, educational, and intense experience. Participants arrive at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 4th, sleep in tents, and leave around 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 6th.

Riders ride as a group Friday afternoon. On Saturday, riders split into two groups. In the morning group one will ride with Karen Lehew and work in the jumping field. Group two will ride with Carol Mejia and work on a drill-team presentation. In the afternoon group one will ride with Carol, while group two will ride with Karen. Sunday morning, the riders come together again to practice the drill presentation as a group. In the afternoon, they demonstrate to their parents what they have learned.

The kids sleep safely in tents that are set up behind the house in a fenced yard and have access to a full bathroom. An adult supervises them at all times. Meals are also provided. Between riding, there are educational lectures and learning opportunities.

Last year's Sizzling Summer Camp was a great success. Photos can be seen here>>>
